A bright red, white and blue flag with the words Aca,!A"Climb to GloryAca,!A? now flies above Multi- National Division - Center headquarters, symbolizing the transfer of authority from the 3rd Infantry Division to the 10th Mountain Division, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Each time a plane ascends from or descends to Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield and tons military of equipment are successfully transported via rail or sea, itAca,!a,,cs more than just clockwork. This is the work of Eric King, installation transportation officer, who has been responsible for redeploying and deploying more than 60,000 Fort Drum Soldiers since he took on the position three years ago.

Fort DrumAca,!a,,cs Fish and Wildlife Management Program hosted the 12th Annual Fishing Derby on Saturday at Remington Park. The foreboding weather forecast may have kept some people away, but 64 youths participated and most persevered the showers that came later in the afternoon.

Fort Drum and North Country emergency service agencies partnered May 20 to test plans and procedures for responding to force protection and mass casualty emergencies on post. The situation-based exercise involved a simulated explosion on Fort Drum's Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield, requiring medical evacuation of a number of simulated casualties to area hospitals and medical treatment facilities. Fort Drum conducts similar exercises periodically to evaluate readiness and strengthen relationships with local, state and federal emergency response agencies.

The skies above the North Country will come alive June 28-29 as the nation's most modern military aircraft are joined by venerable examples of aviation history in the first air show of its kind at Fort Drum, capping a week-long celebration of Fort Drum's one hundred years as a fixture in Northern New York.

After completing more than 1,200 hours of instruction during the last nine months, 642 students from Sergeants Major Course Class 58 at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy graduated at Abraham Chavez Theatre in downtown El Paso, Texas, receiving their diplomas from TRADOC Commanding General, Gen. William S. Wallace.
