Donna Schmack-Rose, an information management officer for G-2/G-6 at FORSCOM, holds two of her Yorkshire Terrier rescue dogs, Winky (left) and Molly Rose. Both dogs suffered from liver shunts but had the problem corrected via surgery. To help other pet owners with animals suffering from liver shunts and other diseases prevelant in toy breed dogs, Schmack-Rose started a nonprofit organization, Yorkshire Terrier Angel Patrol, that works with several universities to educate and eliminate these diseases in pets.
