Three states respond to Ida flooding

Virginia National Guard Soldiers drive a 5-ton truck through high waters Nov. 13, 2009 in Portsmouth, Va. Soldiers from the Virginia National Guard's Portsmouth-based 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavalry Regiment, 116th Brigade Combat Team assisted emergency response personnel with rescue of nine people overnight, including a mother and her young daughter with a high fever who was evacuated to Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Nine Soldiers were on duty in Portsmouth with a Humvee and 5-ton truck.
