FORT CARSON, Colo.-Staff Sgt. Paul Ellis handles a black-tailed prairie dog Feb. 29 as part of an effort to trap and relocate the species on Fort Carson. Ellis, then a vertical construction engineer with the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), worked in the Fort Carson Wildlife Management Office for more than 16 months as part of his treatment program. He was assigned to Carson's Warriors Transition Unit after sustaining injuries during his third tour of Iraq.
