Strykehorse Soldiers share in Diwali with their Indian hosts

CAMP BUNDELA, India (Oct. 16, 2009) - Rauol, head chef, places a "third eye" on Maj. Frankie Cruz, contracting officer assigned to the 411th Contracting Support Brigade, U.S. Forces, Korea, in honor of the Hindu celebration of Diwali, or the festival of lights at Camp Bundela, Oct. 17. The Soldiers assigned to 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, "Strykehorse," 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, from Schofield Barracks, Hawaii were also treated to a Southern Indian feast in honor of the Hindu festival. The Soldiers are currently at Camp Bundela, India participating in exercise Yudh Abhyas 09. YA09 is a bilateral exercise involving the Armies of India and the United States. The primary goal of the exercise is to develop and expand upon the relationship between the Indian and U.S. Army.
