Thunder Horse Spouse receives award for volunteer services

FORT HOOD, Texas - Melissa Zollin, wife of Capt. Jeremy Zollin, commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, receives the Fort Hood Volunteer of Merit award from Garrison Commander Col. Bill Hill for the month of June at the Fort Hood's Community Event Center Aug. 26. Zollin set up a homecoming barbeque, decorated Soldiers barracks rooms and made signs for welcome home ceremonies while the Long Knife Brigade redeployed from Iraq.
