The move by Army Team C4ISR (Command and Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) from Fort Monmouth, N.J., to Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., provides an opportunity to explore opportunities for better organization. The new Center of Excellence under construction will adopt the Army Enterprise concept to streamline operations, resulting in better ways to serve the Warfighter. Army Team C4ISR manages a total of 104 major defense programs amounting to more than $32 billion in total obligation authority to acquire, field, sustain and provide training on new equipment for C4ISR systems.
