Led by a 1918 Dodge Brothers staff car on June 13, the Military Vehicle Preservation Association heads out of Washington, D.C. bound for San Francisco in a reenactment of the 1919 Army Transcontinental Convoy. The 2009 convoy expects to have as many as 300 vintage military vehicles join in along the Lincoln Highway route with about 45 making the entire cross-country trip.
