Soldiers promoted in historic World War II site

Col. Thomas Evans, commander 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Theater Support Command, and Command Sgt. Maj. Brenda Curfman, command sergeant major, 18th Military Police Brigade, promote Cpt. Natoshia Clinton, personnel, 28th Transportation Battalion, to the rank of captain at Pointe du Hoc, France, May 31. Pointe du Hoc is the site of the 2nd Ranger Battalion's assault on a German stronghold during D-Day. Of the 225 Rangers who began the assault only 90 could still fight by the end. Clinton is in Normandy as part of Task Force Normandy 65 to provide support during the ceremonies being held to commemorate the 65th anniversary of D-Day. Two Soldiers were promoted to the rank of specialist and four officers were also promoted to the rank of captain at the same ceremony.
