Soldiers promoted at historic World War II site

Lt. Col Duane Miller, commander, 95th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Theater Support Command, promotes Spc. Clayton Crowther, battalion driver, 95th MP Bn. to the rank of specialist at Pointe du Hoc, France, May 31. Pointe du Hoc is the site of the 2nd Ranger Battalion's assault on a German stronghold during D-Day. Of the 225 Rangers who began the assault only 90 could still fight by the end. Crowther and Kunz are in Normandy as part of Task Force Normandy 65 to provide support during the ceremonies being held to commemorate the 65th anniversary of D-Day. Another Soldiers was promoted to the rank of specialist and five officers were promoted to the rank of captain during the ceremony.
