Monroe Volunteers Place Memorial Day Flags

HAMPTON, Va. - Staff Sgt. Alicia Sexton from the Office of the Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army TRADOC, places flags in front of headstones at the Hampton National Cemetery Complex on May 22. About two dozen Fort Monroe community members participated in the volunteer effort. More than 28,000 flags are placed at the cemetery each year in recognition of the national Memorial Day celebration.
