BAGHDAD - Assault rifles line the wall of an Iraqi Security Force's station during an operation to disarm Awakening Council members in the Fadhil neighborhood of eastern Baghdad March 29. Iraqi Security Forces disarmed the group in an effort to restore law and order in the neighborhood following two days of sporadic gunfire. The violence erupted following the warrant-based arrest of local Awakening Council leader Adil al-Mashhadani. ISF took to the streets in order to restore peace in the region. ISF was supported by U.S. forces during the Iraqi-led military operation.
