Soldiers from the Royal Thai Army carry a simulated wounded comrade to safety across a smoke filled battlefield, part of the disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration portion of the U.N. Global Peacekeeping Operation Initiative. This year, during Cobra Gold 09, senior noncommissioned officers from Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and Singapore are being trained as Observer/Controller/Trainers allowing them to return to their home countries and teach what they've learned to their respective armies.
