Anne Schneider, of Robotic Research, LLC, makes a robot roll quickly down the hallways and turn on a dime at the National Defense Industrial Association's Ground Robotics Capabilities Conference & Exhibition in Hyattsville, Md., Aug. 13, 2014. The robot has surveillance cameras in it and is made of a rubbery plastic created from 3-D printing. Because of its 3-D printing design, its shape and features can be altered within minutes if desired. It also is robust enough to be thrown through a window by a Soldier to roam about a building.
