CAMP RILEA, OREGON - Staff Sgt. William K. Sauder transmits a medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) request as part of his Warrior Training Task during the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations (Airborne)\'s Best Warrior Competition held here from 5 through 10 May. Sauder competed against 10 other Soldiers and Non-commissioned officers from across the nation to take home this year's Best Warrior of the Year NCO category. This eight year combat veteran is a member of Bravo Company, 412thCivil Affairs Battalion, out of Columbus Ohio. He holds a psychology degree from Ohio State University and says he joined the Army to "lead and train Soldiers as they work to make a difference in the world."
