Shoulder-to-shoulder First Army trains Ohio Guard engineers for major exercise

COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 24, 2014) -- Lt. Col. Kenneth Frey (right), First Army senior observer coach/trainer, leads members of the Ohio Army National Guard's 16th Engineer Brigade in an after action review during the brigade's command post exercise conducted in Columbus, Ohio, last month. Seated in the first row (from left) are Command Sgt. Maj. Steven Shepherd, brigade command sergeant major; Col. Paul Craft, brigade commander; and Col. Tom Blackstock, exercise director from the Georgia Army national Guard. First Army provided scenario design expertise, exercise control and observer controller/trainer support to the exercise, which prepared the engineers to participate in a major Warfighter exercise with the 82nd Airborne Division.
