Army lab teams up with Boston Marathon to prevent heat injury

Dr. Sam Cheuvront and Liz Caruso, researchers from the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine record the WetBulb Globe Temperature in Natick, Mass., at the 11 km mark on the Boston Marathon race route. Since 2012, USARIEM has been an official course weather monitoring authority for the Boston Athletic Association and the Boston Marathon.
