The Schoonover Bowl at Camp Casey serves as the venue for Area I soccer and flag football games. It's named for Cpl. Daniel D. Schoonover, who was killed in action during the Korean War in the Second Battle of Pork Chop Hill in July 1953. Schoonover was awarded a posthumous Medal of Honor for his "heroic actions…superb bravery, and willing self-sacrifice" over a two-day period, in action against Chinese Communist forces.
