Spc. Daniel Horner is evaluated on his ability to operate the Army's SINGAR tactical radio equipment during a July 15, Fort Eustis, Va., "urban orienteering" exercise that was part of the 2008 U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command NCO and Soldier of the Year Competition. Five Soldiers from across the nation competed for the top TRADOC title. Spc. Horner, the Soldier of the Year winner, represented Fort Benning, Ga., and U.S. Army Accessions Command during the July 14-17 meet.
