Pow Wow at Fort Sam Houston celebrates National American Indian Heritage Month

Dakota Osife and Madison Banda, jingle-dress dancers, both 7 years old, look forward to sampling the cake presented to them by Sgt. 1st Class Guadalupe Gonzales and Sgt. 1st Class Adam Mayo after the official cake cutting, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Fort Sam Houston (Texas) Native American Indian Heritage Month Pow Wow in the Fort Sam Houston Teen and Youth Center. Osife and Banda are both Navajo. Gonzales is the equal opportunity advisor for Army South and a native of Lorenzo, Texas. Mayo is the program manager and equal opportunity advisor for U.S. Army North (Fifth Army).
