Secretary of the Army John McHugh and Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno watch runners race from the starting line at the 29th Army Ten-Miler, held at the Pentagon, Oct. 20, 2013. The Army Ten-Miler is America's largest ten-mile race, held every October in Washington, D.C., and sponsored by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington. The race events include a youth run, a youth activity fair, and a pre-race pasta dinner held the night before the race. The race attracts a large number of civilian and military running teams.
