Corps teams respond to storm damage at Fort Irwin

USACE Electrical Engineer Mehrbad Golshani, Civil Engineer Tech Patricia asquez and Civil Engineer Eric Strom take a break from assessing storm damage and review list of future inspections. A strong storm and flash flood that struck Fort Irwin and The National Training Center caused an approximate $50 million in damages to the fort, Aug. 25. There was no loss of life or injuries reported. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles district sent a response team of engineering professionals to Fort Irwin to assess damage soon after a monsoon storm hit. The team inspected 166 buildings for damages.
