CAMP ATTERBURY, Ind. " Soldiers with the 27th Public Affairs Detachment move two M1097 high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles from the marshaling yard July 29 at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, Ind., in preparation for the Vibrant Response 13-2 exercise. VR 13-2 is a major incident exercise conducted by U.S. Northern Command and led by U.S. Army North (Fifth Army), which is based out of Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Military members and civilians from various federal agencies are in Indiana training to respond in the event of a catastrophic domestic incident. As a component of North Command, Army North coordinates timely federal military response to disasters in the homeland to help the American people in a time of need. The 27th PAD is based at Fort Bragg, N.C.
