Fort Benning was recognized April 12 in McGinnis-Wickam Hall as a StormReady Community by the National Weather Service. StormReady is a nationwide program helping communities protect people during severe weather through activities including improving the timeliness and effectiveness of hazardous weather warnings to the public and providing detailed and clear recommendations which will help local emergency managers establish and improve effective hazardous weather operations.
