Brigade-level Command Post Exercise during Garuda Shield

U.S. Army and Tentara Nasional Indonesia forces participated in a combined brigade-level, Command Post Exercise (CPX) here, Jun 19. Participants planned and executed the CPX using a fictional scenario, which focused on United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping Operations during Garuda Shield 13. GS 13 is the latest in a continuing series of exercises designed to promote regional peace and security and provided an environment for Indonesian and U.S. Armed Forces to further strengthen their growing military relationship and cultivate interpersonal relationships. This marks the seventh iteration of this bilateral exercise that took place in and around Cilodong, Depok Indonesia from 10-21 June 2013.
