Training for Mission Command

Brigadier General Michael D. Lundy, the Combined Arms Center's deputy commanding general for training (right), discusses the importance of striking the right balance between individual and collective training during a panel discussion Wednesday, 19 June, as part of the AUSA symposium on implementing mission command across the Army. Lundy was joined by Maj. Gen. Glenn Lesniak, the Deputy Commanding General (Support) for the US Army Reserve (left), who discussed training mission command for Army Reserve forces. Also participating in the panel were Maj. Gen. Jeffrey L. Bailey, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, United States Army Forces Command; Maj. Gen. Scott L. Thoele, Deputy Commanding General, Army National Guard, United States Forces Command; and Mr. Hamid M. Khan, Senior Program Officer, United States Institute of Peace.
