During a break in jungle-survival training, U.S. Army ROTC Cadet Zachary Rusk (left) admires an Indonesian Airborne Soldier's video of a parachute jump. Indonesian troops conducted the survival training during Garuda Shield 13, the latest in a continuing series of exercises designed to strengthen military-to-military cooperation while focusing on international peace support operations. The exercise took place at Cilidong and several other locations in Indonesia from June 10 to 21. Rusk and other cadets made the trip to Indonesia under the Army ROTC Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency program. Rusk, of Conneaut, Ohio, is majoring in natural resource management at The Ohio State University.
