Air Force 2nd Lt. Jennifer Szatkowski was at a dental appointment, May 3, 2013, at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. While on the dentist's chair, she noticed a paper bag hanging on the wall, decorated with patriotic symbolism. It was similar to one of the many such items that were created for service members by schoolchildren across the United States following 9/11. The difference was that the bag had been made by her, in grade school, more than decade before.
