Danny Featherston (left), program manager for the AMRDEC Prototype Integration Facility, discusses the OH-58F Cockpit and Sensor Upgrade Program during a 2009 tour with the then Deputy G-3/5 for Strategy and Concepts, U.S. Army Materiel Command, Gerald O'Keefe (center). The aircraft in the foreground is an OH-58D CAT-B trainer loaned to the PIF from the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Eustis, Va. The CASUP team used the trainer for electrical harness and mechanical modification design early in the program. Eventually, the new OH-58F wiring harness, using modern process-controlled wire, flat braid shielding and a re-layout of components, was reduced in weight by approximately 32 pounds.
