Mokrycki and the rest of the battalion as they deplane at Bush Field in Augusta, Ga., on June 8, 1991 The 11th Signal Brigade remained the parent unit of the battalion throughout Operations Desert Shield/Storm until the unit returned to their home station at Fort Gordon. The combat patch worn by the battalion Soldiers who served in Saudi Arabia is the Thunderbird patch worn by the 11th Signal Brigade.
