Soldiers Bring Hope with Adult Literacy Program in Iraq

A Son of Iraq looks over a text book on the opening day of a pilot literacy program in Hawijah, Iraq, on June 15. The program will teach over 500 SOI how to read and write over four months so that they can transition into the Iraq Security Forces. Both the Iraq Police and Army require a candidate to be able to read and fill out the application.
