Almon, along with 49 other Army wounded warriors, will be representing the Army in the upcoming 2013 Warrior Games. Despite sustaining a number of injuries during an automobile accident while on R&R from a tour in Afghanistan in 2010, the Anniston, Ala., native believes wounded, ill or injured Soldiers shouldn't look at their injuries as "life ending events, but as life changing events. You adapt to it and carry on." Since 2010, the Warrior Games have brought together wounded, ill and injured service members to compete in a goodwill competition. This year, the Warrior Games will include wounded warriors from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Special Operations Command and the United Kingdom.
