Lt. Gen. Jeffery Talley, chief, Army Reserve, and commanding general, U.S. Army Reserve Command, and Chief Warrant Officer 5 Phyllis Wilson, command chief warrant officer, Army Reserve, serve up the first piece of birthday cake for the Army Reserve's 105th birthday celebration April 25, 2013. Talley and Wilson, along with Command Sgt. Maj. James Lambert, interim command sergeant major, Army Reserve, visited Bagram Air Field to help Reservists celebrate the birthday of the Army Reserve. The Reserve, which was founded April 23, 1908, as a reserve corps of medical personnel, now includes 148 different military occupation specialties and accounts for almost 20 percent of the Army's total force.
