First Lt. Tomm Hickey (left), a platoon leader, and Sgt. Anthony Steinhoff, a driver, both with the 229th Engineer Company, Wisconsin Army National Guard, place stakes at the end of a culvert system to prevent it from moving when vehicles drive over it during a road construction project in the Panjwa'i district in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, March 30, 2013. Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, Combined Task Force 4-2 (4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division), provided security for the engineers and their Afghan counterparts during the project.
