The Fort Hood, Texas, Recycle Center is the largest recycle facility in the Army. Through education and outreach, the Recycle Center increases the amount of materials recycled. When the recycle program first started in 1992, Fort Hood sold 600 tons of recyclable material. During FY11 and FY12, the recycle center sold 15,315 tons of recyclable material.
