Loheide, who is from Patchogue, N.Y., was attached to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Loheide, who re-enlisted during the ceremony as well, now serves as the Adaptive Reconditioning Program Noncommissioned Officer at the Warrior Transition Battalion on Fort Campbell.
