Old Guard Casket team

Arlington National Cemetery Old Guard Soldiers carry the casket containing the remains of World War II pilot 1st Lt. John E. Terpning, who was killed with nine crew, May 7, 1944, when their Liberator bomber crashed into the jungle of New Guinea. The wreckage of "Toughy" and remains of crew were discovered in 1973, but positive identification of Terpning through DNA sampling was not made until March 29, 2013.
