Against the headstone containing remains of 10 World War II Army Air Corps aviators lost in New Guinea, May 7, 1944, Steve Terpning receives the flag which draped his uncle's casket from Chaplain (Capt.) Matthew Madison. The remains of 1st Lt. John E. Terpning, pilot of B-24 Liberator "Toughy" were confirmed by DNA in March and returned to his family for interment at Arlington National Cemetery, Va., April 3, 2013.
