Female diver leaves her mark in history

Firts Lt. Christie Plackis, the fourth female diver in the history of the Army, who serves as the executive officer for the 74th Engineer Dive Detachment, is deployed from Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., is briefed for a dive, March 6, 2013, alongside her fellow divers at the Sea Point of Debarkation/Embarkation at Shuaiba Port, Kuwait. Her detachment participated in an underwater welding and hydraulic-tool training exercise lasting three weeks.
