Command Sgt. Maj. Robert Wells retires after 33 years of honorable service in the U.S. Army. After making 16 moves throughout the world with the military, Wells said he could not think of a better place to finish up his military career than Fort Leonard Wood. Wells joined the Army in 1980 during the post-Vietnam era. At that time, the Army announced that the military was no longer doing physical training in combat boots; and there were no smart phones, personal computers, or DVDs.
