The intent for the contingency command post exercise was to familiarize the South African National Defense Force with Combined Joint Task Force, or CJTF, Headquarters capabilities so U.S. and South African soldiers will have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities as a CJTF during Shared Accord 13.
