CERDEC outreach initiative 'STEM Superstar' brings science and engineering to elementary students

A group of 4th grade students at Lisby Elementary, Bel Air, Md., explain their prototype to U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command's communications-electronics center Outreach team members. STEM Superstar engages students from kindergarten to fifth grade in stimulating activities challenging students to think creatively and solve problems like an engineer. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.
