United States Army Reserve Soldier Col. Frank Kestler (left), and his wife Chrys Kestler (right), both of Shelter Island, N.Y., pose for a photo in front of architectural plans for Strongpoint Theinert, a space for veterans to recover from the trauma of combat. The space, which they plan to build on their family's New Mexico ranch, is named for 1st Lt. Joseph Theinert, Chrys' son and Frank's stepson. Theinert was a New York Army National Guard Soldier who deployed to Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division in 2010 and fell in combat near Arif Kala in June of that year.
