101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) unveils Medal of Honor plaque

Maj. Gen. James C. McConville, commander of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), and Command Sgt. Maj. Alonzo J. Smith, division command sergeant major, help Rose Mary Sabo-Brown unveil the plaque for her husband, Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Leslie H. Sabo Jr., during a ceremony at McAuliffe Hall, Jan. 25, 2013, at Fort Campbell, Ky. Sabo Jr. served with Company B, 3rd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, during the Vietnam War in 1970. Sabo, whose Medal of Honor recommendation was lost in the National Archives for 29 years, was finally awarded by the President of the United States of America during a ceremony held May 16, 2012, at the White House.
