Ballistic Underwear

Experts in the U.S. Army Public Health Command's Health Hazard Assessment Program completed an occupational health assessment of the new protective outer garments and undergarments, and provided recommendations on how to minimize any risks. The Army is reviewing several samples of protective undergarments to provide better protection to the pelvic region when a blast occurs from an improvised explosive device. The undergarments feature removable ballistic inserts for females and males.
