PLA hosts US Disaster Management delegation luncheon

Qi hosted members of the United States Army Pacific Disaster Management Exchange team to attend the luncheon. The DME is an annual USARPAC Security Cooperation Event with the People's Republic of China and the PLA. The DMEs with China began in 1998 with actual visits beginning in 2005. The 2012 DME is hosted by the PLA in China: Beijing, Kunming, and Chengdu. USARPAC and the PLA are participating in DME, Nov. 26 " Dec. 2. The DME is an annual USARPAC Security Cooperation Event with the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the People's Liberation Army (PLA). The DMEs with China began in 1998 with actual visits beginning in 2005. For the 2007 DME, the PLA hosted a USARPAC delegation in China (Beijing and Wuhan). For the 2011 DME, USARPAC hosted the PLA in Hawaii, Colorado, and Louisiana.
