General Sharp takes command of UNC/CFC/USFK

YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic or Korea - Republic of Korea Defense Minister Lee Sang-hee passes the ROK/U.S. Combined Forces Command flag to Gen. Walter L. Sharp, who today assumed command of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces Korea. Sharp succeeds Gen. B.B. Bell (at Minister Lee's right) who is retiring after 39 years in the Army. The CFC flag was first passed from General Bell to U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates (behind Minister Lee).
