New York Army National Guard Soldiers from the 42nd Infantry Division move out on a mission to locate and mark downed utility lines, Nov. 3, 2012. Almost 500 New York Army National Guard Soldiers have been dedicated to missions in Westchester and Rockland counties to work with utilities in restoring the power grid and on other missions in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. The Soldiers have been trained to locate and safely mark and isolate downed power lines.
