USFOR-A Senior Enlisted Tour the DFIP

CAMP SABALU-HARRISON, Afghanistan " Several senior enlisted advisors assigned to U.S. Forces Afghanistan toured the Detention Facility in Parwan September 27, 2012, to gain a better understanding of the strategic-level mission performed at the DFIP. The tour was guided by Command Sgt. Maj. David C. Redmon, senior enlisted advisor to the commander, Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435, and Command Sgt. Maj. Dawn Rippelmeyer, senior enlisted advisor to the commander, Task Force Protector. CJIATF 435 oversees all detainee operations in Afghanistan. Task Force Protector personnel oversee the secure and humane care, custody and control of the detainees within the DFIP. In this photo, Master Gunnery Sgt. Troxler, provost marshal senior enlisted advisor, USFOR-A, receive a brief on medical capabilities in the DFIP prior to touring the medical facility. Professionals in dentistry, optometry, mental health, radiology and physical therapy are on staff at the DFIP to handle various types of medical care to detainees.
