Col. Gerhard P.R. NEPA recognized Tobyhanna's service to the Armed Forces, its role as the largest employer in the region and the economic impact it has on the surrounding seven counties. Tobyhanna Army Depot is the largest employer in a seven-county area with more than 5,400 employees providing a $4.4 billion annual economic impact. The NEPA Alliance Regional Leadership Award is dedicated in memory of John J. Luciani, former NEPA Board Chairperson and other past chairpersons. It represents the dedication for the people of our region, passion for economic growth and hard work that formed the foundation and advancement of NEPA.
